I’ll Give You the Short Version…

Hi, I’m the reason 10TU never got off the ground.

I have a sort of vision in my head of the way things ought to be, and sometimes I let that take over a project, or worse, a hobby. Even with the Flash shortcuts we took because of my rusty hand/drawing-skills, all of it — the sound editing, lip syncing, music, credits…. animation itself… simply takes too long for my schedule. Let’s call our cartoons 10-15 hours of work per toon, to be conservative.

Webcomics are great, but… I just mentioned rusty hand-skills, right? So I did something I want you to try: Go to any successful webcomic that’s already out there, and click the little button that says “first.” Are you impressed with what you see? Now click back to the “latest.” Compare. Everybody starts somewhere.

I’m hoping to simultaneously start that journey, and keep this place humming along. I think making webcomics will be better than the cartoons because I’m doing this to focus on bettering myself  — and in the process, if I entertain, well… great. Three hours I can find in a night, 10-15 hours I can’t find in a month without some serious sacrifices. And so… webcomic it is.

Welcome to 10ThumbsUp, part II.

Your entire statement implies you will be a successful webcomic.
    We will accept nothing less.

Thanks for the comments guys, appreciate the support :-)

Comment authors should be able to post without moderation once their first comment has been approved… we have that in place to stop spamming, hope everybody’s cool with that. Just use same name/email and it should go through without moderation.

I can also connect the forums with the blog so that login/password works across the board, but to be honest I don’t think I want anybody needing to login to anything on this page.

I just want to see what my avatar looks like.

  9. Site’s looking good man.

Now let’s see some more shameless flash sketched webcomics.
